TLC Healthcare have continued on their quest for excellence and innovation in aged care with the opening of Whitewater, a vibrant, modern multi-generational and multi-disciplinary healthcare precinct in Mordialloc, Victoria. The on-site inclusion of an early learning centre, community medical centre, commercial health club, 20m warm-water pool and commercial café has demonstrated TLC’s dedication to providing a dynamic and stimulating environment for its aged care residents.
SilVR Adventures has been working with TLC for over 2 years and are thrilled with the inclusion of a dedicated VR room in this cutting-edge residential care facility. The purpose-built VR Theatre includes comfortable seating and state of the art equipment to ensure an optimal viewing experience, as well as efficient storage, hygiene and security solutions. The care team members at Whitewater share our belief in the benefits of Virtual Reality therapy – to say that we are proud to see such an investment into the mental health and wellbeing of our senior community is an understatement.
Equally excited are the patrons touring the facility – a relative of one prospective resident expressed their pleasant surprise at the high-tech VR space. “Wow they have VR, Nan will absolutely love that!” It’s a sentiment we hear time and time again as Virtual Reality makes its way into the aged care sector, enriching the lives of both residents and their passionate care providers.
