SilVR Adventures, the Victorian Start-up of the Year for 2023 and provider of VR-based, shared enrichment experiences for older adults, has joined forces with Oroi, Europe’s premier virtual reality platform for seniors, in a significant strategic partnership. This partnership seeks to broaden SilVR Adventures’ diverse range of therapeutic offerings, encompassing cognitive, physical, and occupational therapies.
Now accessible on the SilVR Adventures network, Oroi Cognitive offers a range of exercises and games that simulate everyday life scenarios, such as grocery shopping, navigating a city, organising a room, dressing, and various other activities of daily living (ADLs), skills commonly taught by professional therapists.
“Oroi have been diligently developing a solution for many of the challenges older adults are facing in Australia,” noted Colin Pudsey, Founder of SilVR Adventures. “This partnership heralds a new era of therapeutic, immersive VR content, all backed by research.”
“This strategic partnership opens up thrilling prospects for both companies and signifies our ANZ and Singapore industry collaboration,” said Jorge Maylin, CEO of Oroi, which operates in Spain, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
This partnership further highlights SilVR Adventures’ continuing market leading position in aged care and retirement living engagement and activities. Participants in group sessions can stimulate memories, tick off bucket list items together, revisit personal places of significance and share stories, helping to remain engaged with family members, and improve quality of life.
