VR behaviour support in aged care reaches its potential only when resident knowledge is embedded in a system, not held by whoever happens to be rostered. Standard 5 of the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards requires providers to document non-pharmacological approaches to changed behaviour, and that evidence trail depends on consistent knowledge across shifts. Most providers have staff who understand their residents. Few have built what those staff know into something every team member can act on.
