How Lifestyle Coordinator Lumen Is Bringing the World Back to Residents with VR
VR in aged care is giving residents who can no longer leave their rooms access to the world they once knew — and unlocking memories, conversation, and connection in the process. Southern Cross Care Tasmania’s Lifestyle Coordinator at Mount Esk has been running regular VR sessions since early 2025, reaching residents who had withdrawn from group activities. What she found is that the right experience, matched to a resident’s history, changes more than an afternoon.
